The Oyo state electoral commissioner, Professor Yomi Dinakin has adjudged the local government election in the state as peaceful.
According to him,wards visited under Abeokuta north local government has no problem with logistics,as accreditation and voting took place simultaneously.
At ward 5 unit 18,Ilugun/iberekodo, security officials comprising Nigeria police, Nigeria civil defence security corps,Nigeria immigration,and So- safe were on ground, just as they were in other polling units visited
Professor Dinakin is a member of the Forum of Independent Electotal Commissions (FOSIECOM) who were in the state to join the OGSIEC Chairman i monitoring the conduct of the election.
Earlier, another member of the Team from Benie State ,Barrister Donald Kertyo in an interview had said their mission in the state is to observe the election and see to it that the election is conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner.
According to him, with the calibre of person at the helms of Affairs In OGSIEC in Ogun State he has np fear that the outcome of the election will be adjudged by anyone is peaceful , orderly and free and fair…
